Drain Sluggishness with GRAPEFRUIT & Cardamom

I had an awesome weekend of celebrating my 29th birthday! I don’t drink much anymore but this time I did! It was also freezing cold but I was still determined to go out because we had a babysitter lol
Now I can feel the impact of the alcohol and winter cold in my body 😩

My body is craving grapefruit 💦 and then I remember a recipe from my favorite Ayurvedic site, Joyful Belly, and I put cardamom and honey on my grapefruit!
All the congestion built up from my weekend and the winter season starts to drain out! My dry eyes become moist again and my nose begins to run! I feel the moisture being restored in my body and bring me back to life!


Citrus is in season for the winter because it aids the lungs, which tend to compress during the winter months. The acid in citrus is great for detoxifying our organs. Grapefruit’s bitter and sour taste stimulates the liver and gallbladder helping to further eliminate toxins as we transition to Spring. The cardamom add more cleansing properties and is uplifting and gives you a sense of clean energy. It definitely brought me to life.

I really love nature and they way everything has been designed to take care of us.
