The hANDS ARE KEY TO YOUR EMBODIMENT
I notice we don’t roll the wrists enough in yoga class.
In my classes I love to cue rolling the wrists, spreading the fingers, and I love to encourage mudras to awaken the finger tips. Not only does it look cute, but it also opens up in magic in our palms and fingers.
When I create more space in my fingers and hands, I feel so much more embodied during and after class. Activating the hands is a cheat code to embodiment. You can always tell how present someone is by looking at their hands!
In his book “Yoga of the Subtle Body”, Tias Little talks about how “In traditional Chinese medicine, the lung, pericardium, and heart meridians pass from the hand, through the arm, and to the chest cavity. The fingertips conduct circulation of chi into the arms and trunk.” @prajnayoga @tiaslittle 💜
